b-tag
If you frequently use the Westerschelde Ferry, a b-tag subscription could be advantageous. The b-tag is a convenient credit card-sized pass that always allows you to travel at the most economical fare. Payment is made at the end of each month by direct debit.

Reserve your place
During the summer period and when the weather is fine, crossings may be full. To make sure you will have a place on board, you can always easily reserve your place in our webshop. Once your order is completed, the reservation is registered on your b-tag and your place on board is guaranteed. Simply scan your b-tag at the entrance gates and walk straight through. Even if the passenger count in the terminal is down to 0, your reservation is already included in the count.

If you have any questions about tickets, reservations or rebooking, please contact the Ticket Counter Customer Service via +31 (0)107516400. You can also send us an email. The Ticket Counter customer service desk is available Monday through Friday from 9 – 17:30 and on Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 – 12:30.

If you want to book a return crossing in the webshop, please select two separate crossings. When you add the ticket for the trip back, the return trip discount is automatically deducted.
Example: you want to go from Vlissingen to Breskens on Friday morning. You want to return from Breskens to Vlissingen on Friday afternoon. In the webshop, choose a ‘day ticket from Vlissingen to Breskens’. Select a one-way Vlissingen-Breskens (outbound) ticket there. Next, you can expand the order to include a ticket for the Breskens-Vlissingen crossing (inbound). Once you have selected this ticket, the return trip discount will be applied in the shopping cart.
You can buy tickets in several ways:
- Online through our webshop.
- At the terminal, either at the counter or at the ticket machine. Here, you will pay a surcharge of €1.00 per ticket.
- For €0.50 per ticket, you can reserve a specific departure online. Reservations are not possible throug the ticket machine at the terminal.
If you have purchased a ticket through our website or at the cashier, you can reserve a place for €0.50 per ticket per crossing during the purchase. You can also buy a ticket without a reservation.
If you are not present at the reserved time or location, your reservation will be cancelled, but your ticket remains valid for the entire day on that date.
It is not possible to add a reservation to a ticket that has been purchased without a reservation.
You do not need to make a reservation, but it is preferable if you want to make sure there will be a place for you. The crossings get particularly busy during summer.
- If you are buying a ticket through our website, you can reserve a place during your purchase for €0.50 per ticket per crossing. You can also buy a ticket without a reservation.
- If you have a b-tag with a subscription, you can reserve a place for free.
- If you have a b-tag with individual crossings, you will pay €0.50 per reservation.
- If you have bought a ticket at the cashier, you can reserve a place for €0.50 per ticket per crossing.
- It is not possible to make reservations at the ticket machine in the terminal.
If your plans change after you have bought a ticket online, please use the link to the order summary in the confirmation email you received from us to rebook your ticket at any time.
If you have bought a ticket at the cashier or ticket machine in the terminal and something has gone wrong, please go to the cashier before your trip to solve the issue.
The Westerschelde Ferry is a bicycle-pedestrian ferry, exclusively for pedestrians and cyclists/mopeds. In other words, motorcycles and cars cannot use the ferry service. If you want to cross the Westerschelde by car, motorcycle or other vehicle, you can do so via the Westerschelde Tunnel (N62). This route is subject to a toll. For more information about the Westerschelde Tunnel, the tunnel route and fares, please visit www.westerscheldetunnel.nl.
Dogs are allowed on board the Westerschelde Ferry free of charge. However, they must be kept on a short leash.
